For Autumn/Winter 2022, we are excited to evolve the well-loved boot, the Fluff Momma Sugar, into three new styles featuring renewable materials like Sorona®, TENCEL™ Lyocell, and Sugarcane EVA. All the familiar and cozy feelings of UGG are now reimagined with plant-based materials.
The super cozy faux fur upper is made with Sorona, a fiber made from 37% annually renewable plant-based ingredients. The soft, plush lining uses 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers, which are sourced from responsibly harvested trees. UGG also purchases offsets for the small amount of emissions these materials create.
The outsoles are made from our durable SugarSole™, which is derived from fast-growing sugarcane. This rainwater-nourished renewable resource captures and CO2 from the atmosphere, is rainwater-nourished, and does not require irrigation, as opposed to traditional petroleum-based ethylene. It also

We all have a part to play in building a better world — and now, doing “less harm” is not enough. That’s why, at UGG, we have a target of at least 65% of the materials in UGG footwear being recycled, repurposed, regenerated, renewable, or certified natural fibers, by 2027, and 70% in all other lifestyle products.
It’s not too late to make the world a better place for future generations. We have a responsibility to preserve the land — which helps address global issues of desertification, climate change, and food and water insecurity — and to achieve equity for all. For us here at UGG, this includes championing inclusivity and social and racial justice in our supply chain and the communities where we operate. That’s why all of the products in the Plant Power Collection are made in a factory that supports HERproject, a non-profit collaborative initiative working to educate and empower women in our global supply chain through training, skills-sharing, and guidance around health, financial inclusion, and gender equality.
Creating long-term positive change is no easy task. But, it’s something we’re committed to this holiday season and beyond.
